𝐑𝐨𝐨𝐦 𝐓𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 If possible and safe, leave a window slightly open for ventilation as fresh air encourages sleep. The ideal room temperature is around 18 degrees celcius. 𝐋𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 For optimum sleep, try and sleep in darkness. Darkness triggers production of the hormone melatonin which induces sleep. An eye mask can help with this! 𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐝 It goes without saying, winding down as much as possible before bedtime is ideal for a good nights sleep. If you find your mind is running wild with things to do and ideas, then keep a notebook by your nightstand to offload them and empty your mind. 𝐊𝐞𝐞𝐩 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐝𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐬 Try and get your mind into a routine, Thinking you can catch up on sleep at weekends doesn't help you long term. Going to bed and rising at regular times each day is more likely to help reestablish good sleep patterns. 𝐋𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 Lavender has been shown to improve sleep quality. You can use sachets under the pillow. Lavender drops on your pillow or in a bath prior to retiring to bed or use a diffuser. 𝐓𝐮𝐫𝐧 𝐨𝐟𝐟 𝐆𝐚𝐝𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐬 Saving the hardest one to last… turn off the gadgets! Say what?!!! Your bedroom should be a tranquil, inviting and peaceful place for sleep, not a lit up with various electronics - Your TV, your Computer, your Phone!!
