Heard of eating mindfully? It’s so easy and convenient these days to grab food on the go to save time. We eat in our cars, whilst we're working, studying on our computers or watching TV. 📺 Have you noticed that you can watch TV and not even realise what you’ve just eaten?

Studies have shown that when we focus on eating without any distraction, we end up eating less and also helps the whole digestive process.
Concentrating on the food we eat, switches on the parasympathetic nervous system (PNS known as rest and digest), our heart rates slows down and simulates our digestive function. 🙌
The opposite of this is when we’re eating on the go, we’re activating our sympathetic nervous system (SNS known as fight or flight). When the SNS is activated is causes all other systems to switch off (including the digestion system). 😒
So whenever you can try and eat without doing anything else - hard.. hmm yes. But try when you can, and you’ll find your enjoy our food more, eat less and your body will thank you for it!
